This community garden is the combination of two city-owned lots. This project was made possible by applicant Quandra Secession, her family, and community volunteers.Volunteers filled garden beds with compost, planted flowers, along with fruit and vegetable plants. A majority of the plants for the garden were donated from various Milwaukee gardeners contacted via Facebook groups.  Her goals for this project included bringing awareness to the importance of agriculture, provide hands-on learning experiences to the community, increase connectedness with nature, and provide fruits and vegetables for the community.
