We encourage people to apply if they are:

Sewing face masks

Making CDC-approved hand sanitizers
-
Creating something that benefits the well-being of their neighbors' physical, mental and/ or emotional health (qualifying projects are to the review committee's discretion).

This mini-grant is not to be used to start a project. This money is to be used to purchase supplies TO CONTINUE projects that are helping the community during COVID-19

This money is not for personal use/ finances
-
This is a REIMBURSABLE mini-grant. Love Your Block MKE will reimburse you the costs of materials after receiving proof of purchase & photographic proof of the end product and it being distributed in the community.

A total of $2,500 of Mini-grant funds have been set aside. The maximum amount of each individual mini-grant is $500.

Applying does not guarantee mini-grant funds.

Efforts must be geared towards local residents. For example: if making face masks or hand sanitizer it must be directed towards community members such as neighbors, the elderly, restaurants, grocery store employees, etc.

All applicants including those who received the mini-grant and those who did not but applied who share their amazing and positive stories about how they are helping the community will receive a mention on our social media (instagram and facebook) and on Love Your Block MKE's website

Mini-grants will be awarded as they are approved and accepted. The last day to submit an application (as funding allows) is May 29, 2020.

Obligations of mini-grant recipients
If you are awarded the mini-grant you will need to do the following:

Take pictures of the process: before, during and after
-
This is a reimbursable mini-grant. ALL receipts MUST be scanned and emailed BY June 30, 2020.

Pictures of the final products and them being distributed to the community must be submitted with the receipts in order to be reimbursed.
