Love Your Block MKE purchased 3,150 pieces of jumbo chalk to be divided and distributed throughout the nine Targeted Investment Neighborhoods (TINs). Each bag was given three pieces of chalk and a note prompting recipients to leave positive messages for their neighbors during these uncertain times. The chalk was distributed the weekend of April 25th with the help of the Love Your Block team and TIN partners. Washington Park’s United Methodist Children’s Services (UMCS) added an extra special touch by providing children’s books, frisbees, flower pinwheels and mini beach balls to the bags of chalk. We look forward to seeing these masterpieces of positivity!
